under the rainbow (Short film)

An award winning 18min short film based on events I witnessed myself. UNDER THE RAINBOW is a poetic recreation of an actual incident, which took place in the inner city of Johannesburg. Viewed through the new city-wide security camera system, it is a story of two young men on their nightly prowl, which inevitably turns tragic.

A multi-award winning 24min short film about an ex-con who finds a job at a Sushi restaurant. He falls for the art of the Japanese cuisine and fights against the prejudice of his traditional owners to become a sushi chef.

Set in 1984 amidst the Angolan Border war, this is a film about two soldiers thrust into a volatile situation - separated and alone, they are faced with the decisions of life and death. A young naïve soldier with his attachments to the sanctity of life and another hardened by the realities of war collide in a personal war with themselves and each other, while at the same time putting pressure on their chances for escape.
